Darjeeling First and Second Flush

Darjeeling is located in north east India and their teas are considered the some of the best in the world.  We offer two different seasons – First Flush and Second Flush.  First Flush is the fresh new spring leaves as they come out of the dormant period.  Delicate with light astringency.  Makaibari is certified organic and displays the highest astringency. Giddapahar is invigorating, sweet and flowery.  Jungpana is a mixture of fresh sutble flowers and a hint of fruits.

Our Second Flush is from the well-known tea estate Margaret’s Hope.  It has a slightly stronger brew from the older leaves with muscatel notes.

Brewing Guidelines
Teaware: 200ml glass, porcelain/ceramic pot
Amount: 1 rounded teaspoons (2g) of tea leaves
Water: 95°C water
Infusion: Infuse for 3-5 mins
